Claims
What to do when a loss occurs
First make sure everyone is safe. Then call us: +90 216 514 71 84. The steps below help the claim run smoothly.
For every claim
- If anyone is injured or the danger continues, call 112 (emergency services in Türkiye) first.
- Notify us as soon as possible. Policies set time limits for notification.
- Take photos and videos; do not dispose of damaged items before the loss adjuster has seen them.
- Talk to us before starting any repairs.
- Keep invoices, official reports and correspondence.
- Take reasonable steps to prevent further damage; these costs are usually recoverable under the policy.
Property and business interruption
- For fire call the fire brigade; for theft report to the police and obtain a report.
- Record stock and production losses from day one; they form the basis of the business interruption claim.
- If you have earthquake cover under several policies (e.g. DASK and a commercial policy), each must be notified; we follow both.
Marine cargo
- For damaged or short deliveries, note a reservation on the delivery receipt and notify the carrier in writing.
- Keep the goods and packing until the surveyor’s inspection.
- Prepare the shipping documents: bill of lading or CMR, invoice, packing list.
Liability
- Forward any claim letter, notice or lawsuit to us immediately.
- Do not admit liability or agree a settlement without the insurer’s consent.
Employee benefits
- At contracted hospitals, pre-authorisation is obtained with the policy details; call us for treatments that need prior approval.
- At non-contracted hospitals, keep original invoices, the discharge summary and prescriptions.
